Dispelling the myths about car racing games
The other day I was having a verbal battle with my elder sister Catherine who always tries to assume the role of mom at every given opportunity. I dislike the fact that she tries to criticize me, as I like to Play Car Racing Games in my PC. She thinks that she knows best about the games and always says nonsensical things like these games are harmful for teenagers and how they make people violent etc. That day I was just about to finish the final level of Need for Speed and she started preaching as usual. Enough is enough, I thought. I needed to make her see the fact without repeating same age-old words like a parrot.
I opened a site that compared the variety of car racing games available on the Internet. It contained reviews from the eminent gamers and critics of car racing games. I made her see that there were games that require the players to finish a race without causing any damage to their cars. It was not all about rushing like a mad bull and ram into the vehicles.
During the argument dad joined us and he also agreed that car-racing games are not all that bad. That was the first time I saw the miss ‘I -know-it- all’ effectively silenced.
